Name Louise CareyAbout Louise Carey grew up in Shannon, Co. Clare, Ireland. A gifted artist, she would spend hours drawing and painting as a child, and was encouraged to explore and embrace her natural creative abilities. In addition to the visual arts her second love was music. With a professionally trained voice Louise fronted three rock bands before the age of 24. It was in this environment that she first began to explore the world of Graphic Design, creating CD covers, flyers and posters for bands. Soon after, Louise began to seriously pursue Graphic Design and started taking on small freelance projects, designing websites, business cards, brochures, logos and apparel. She launched a website selling her own original designs on clothing and accessories and began receiving more recognition for her work. Louise has since worked as a Graphic Designer on several feature films, designed merchandise, websites, press kits, and publicity materials. Currently Louise creates original art for licensed products ranging from home décor to apparel. Her unique style is inspired by American pop culture, music and trends in fashion and home decorating. She is inspired by the younger generation of consumers, and creates commercial art that appeals to their sensibility. Her original artwork has been praised by buyers and designers alike, and her fresh approach to imagery has allowed her to stand out in the industry. Louise’s art has been featured in retail stores such as Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kirklands, Kohls, Marshalls, Gordmans, TJ Maxx, AJ Wright, Garden Ridge, Winners, Burlington Coat Factory and Homegoods.
